INDO BRINE INDUSTRIES LTD. emerged on the land of Kutch, rich in Raw Salt, in the last decade of the 20th Century. It is one of the leading Manufacturers & Exporter of Triple Refined Free Flow lodized Salt & Industrial Salt, having well equipped administrative office at a very prominent location in Gandhidham (Kutch).

The refinery is situated at Salt City, Chopadava, Taluka Bhachau, Dist. Kutch, Gujarat (india) at a distance of 26 kms from Gandhidham and about 40 kms. away from Kandla Port. It is easily accessible from Gandhidham Railway Station, Air Port and other means of road transportation on National Highway 8A.

The company was founded by Late Shir Atmaram Sewaram Agrawal and later on promoted and nourished by Mr. Satyanarayan Atmaram Agrawal. Process & Quality

The manufacturing process is fully automatic, using Advanced Swiss Technology. The salt is manufactured and packed in most hygienic conditions with highest purity upto 99.60% NaCI content. The entire process meets the stringent standards of WHO. The quality of products of the company has been endorsed with ISI certification by Bureau of Indian Standards and ICCIDD by international council for control of lodine Deficiency Disorders. The salt contains right level of iodine adhering to the norms of UNICEF and Government of India to avoid iodine deficiency disorders. The company has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 certification by Bureau Veritas for quality management. The company has two inbuilt laboratories with sophisticated equipments handled by well experienced and qualified chemists for quality control and research & development.

Infrastructure

The factory premises area is ad measuring to 33883 sq.meters. The company has open and spacious Godowns for storage of raw materials and storage sheds for stacking of finished good. The company has a Diesel Generator set keeping in view of electricity failure and ensuring production round the clock. The company has 700 KVA alloted power connection from Paschim Gujarat Vij. Co. Limited. The company had Dumper, Loaders, Tractor and Trolleys, Weighbridge, Guest House, Laboratory, Conference Hall and fueling facilities inside the factory premises. The company has its own arrangements for sweet water for washing and ample arrangements for drinking water. The company has provided residential facility to the personnel working in shift inside the factory, along with canteen facilities.

Production Capacity

At present the installed capacity in three shifts a day and 365 Days a year basis for the manufacture of refined free flow iodized salt is 300000 tonnes per annum (i.e. 800 M.T/Day x 365 days/year)

Technology

In order to ensure superb Quality of Salt and smooth productivity, the company have adopted the most modern State of Art technology with all stainless-steel equipment and machinery. The plant is based on “LATEST SWISS TECHNOLOGY”. In recent past, looking into the abundant demand, the Company has made expansion plans of the plant by increasing its capacity by 600 Ton Per day(i.e. total 1400 tonnes per day including current production capacity), which would make it one of the largest refineries in Asia producing salt with maintaining highest quality standard.

Manufacturing Process

The manufacturing process involves preparing of brine from raw salt. After multiple washing stages the slurry undergoes centrifugation process. The salt cakes obtained at the outlet of centrifuge are devoid of impurities such as iron and other insoluble material. Multiple washing also controls both the impurities (soluble and insoluble) like calcium, magnesium and sand etc. These salt cakes are dried in the fluid bed dryer and after sieving for proper granule size and blending of free flowing agent the final product is obtained. The cyclone collects fines which are packed separately. The final product has salt content as high as 99.50% in form of NaCI. The entire process is automatic and the salt is produced and packed in most hygienic conditions with highest purity upto 99.50% NaCI content.
